Jason was always extraordinarily generous. It seemed he wanted the best for himself and for all the people he was around. It was a struggle to take the check at a restaurant before he took care of it.
While he was visiting us in Cairo, we went to the Pyramids. Typically, there are a handful of men there trying to sell you everything from a head scarf to a camel ride. I usually just brushed them off like desert flies, but Jason took the time to speak with them, learn from them, and of course buy a scarf. He never hesitated to find them best in people.
