I have always felt lucky that my little brother and Ronit became a pair, giving me the sister I never had growing up. Ronit is a star and comes from an amazing family. Over the years, at 'all family' events and special occasions, I had a chance to get to know Jason better. With his gregarious spirit, wit, and generosity, he always seemed like the ultimate big brother. Not only was he adventurous, but he was uber-fun and shared the best gifts with his nephews. One afternoon the whole family went out for lunch after celebrating the bris of Jason's nephew Micah. Jason noticed that the pre-schoolers in the family were eying some ridiculous Cookie Monster cupcakes at the counter. Heaped with blue frosting, these were not the typical treats that a mother would buy for a 3 year old. After lunch, Jason surprised Shai and Maddie with a cupcake each, and the kids were over the moon. The twinkle in Jason's eye was worth every bit of that crazy blue frosting.
