Jason - it was a beautiful service today. It made me miss you more. I'm so thankful to have known you, and so grateful and proud to call you a friend. Remember the Flatotel in NYC??? It was so awful!! You called me at 12:15 a.m. to ask how my room was. When I meekly said, "um, ok," you said, "my couch has a PEE STAIN and we are going to the Essex House. Pack up now and meet me in my room. You shouldn't be here!!" I don't know what strings you pulled in the middle of the night, but I am quite sure it had everything to do with the fact that the night manager of the Essex House knew Jason Kirshner and was going to do all he could to take care of you. You inspired that kind of loyalty in people...you also made everyone around you better by setting high standards and being the first to meet them. Bye for now, sweet friend.
